If you are 240 lbs do not expect a lazy boy recliner to support you for more tha 2 or 3 weeks before it loses its spring support in the seat. All lazy boy will do is replace the same type springs. You have been warned.

I bought a man sized lazy-boy because I am tall and the footrest was longer. A few months afterwards a bolt that is under the chair broke. The warranty paid for repairs. Several months afterward it happened again. The chair was “repaired” three or four times, the last time was the last time for warranty repair, or so I was told. I don’t know what the five year warranty is for and having misplaced my invoice I am not quite sure the chair is still under warranty. I am sure, however, that the chair is parked in the corner of my living room and not usable because the same bolt is broken and a spring that helps the mechanism just fell out on the floor. I mistakenly thought LazyBoy was a reputable company but I guess not. The dealer wouldn’t replace the chair when it first broke and has since gone out of business. I am elderly and have a sick husband and am working so that we can have insurance. I would love to have my chair repaired because I can’t buy another, but sounds like I shouldn’t even go there because of the repair costs.

Former La-z-boy employee here…. for seat springs (the zig-zag type) you can go to La-z-Boy Comfort Care…you need the ACK number from under the footrest, its on the LAW TAG. OR, you can go to any furniture repair person…these are generic parts and any reputable repair person will have them.
For the replacement recliner handle… your best bet is EBAY, there are two types of handle inserts so be careful. first type is for the TORX bolt, but they call them the star insert, and the latest one is the “new” square/box insert.

I have a Big Man Rocking Lazy Boy Recliner that has served me well for the past 14 years. Sadly, the foot lift has stripped the teeth that makes it recline in several different positions. I am over 300 pounds and this chair has served me well all these years. I have purchased three new lazy boy recliners over the years to replace this one but it is obvious that the construction and design has been compromised with mass repuduction.They do not have the comfort like the old one. The handle on my lazy boy recliner broke, it was purchased at the NFM in Omaha, went there and they said I would have to go to your website. Can’t find anything on your website about a part although I saw the video and it is easy enough to fix. Recently the springs that hold the two pins for the footrest latch mechanism under the chair have broken. I would like to get a new set of these 2 springs so that the footrest can be raised into the various positions. The springs are roughly 3/4 of and inch end when not stretched out. We have a lazy boy power recliner. The foot rest actuator has a plastic cap/link that fits on the end of the ram via a hinge pin and connects to the foot rest mechanism via another hinge pin. That plastic cap/link broke in half. Without that piece the foot rest won’t lift. Searching on line for replacement parts for any Lazy Boy actual lifting mechanism has not paid off. Anyone have any success?

We have Lazy-boy loveseat and sofa recliners. Both are manual, not electric. The small rollers for the tracks have plastic shell-type coverings. The plastic has broken off of several of the rollers. I’m trying to find a source for the rollers. I’m sure I’m not the only one that has had this problem? Any suggestions?
